 "TEXAS SKYZ" BAND IS A 3 PIECE COVER BAND THAT PLAYS MOSTLY OLD "CLASSIC" COUNTRY. We are based out of Austin but willing to travel. Ken Parker is on bass and Gary Brockway plays lead guitar. "Soapy" Hopkins is our drummer.
All three band members do the vocals. We are all seasoned veterans of the music business and all share a common love of traditional country music. A partial playlist (we don't have room to list them all) can be found by clicking on the "PlAYLIST" button in the header. Ken and Gary are the founders of Texas Skyz. We are a dance band with our set list composed mostly of shuffles, slow songs and waltzes, but also has lots of "old" rock 'n roll. "Texas Skyz" band is very versatile and always open to requests. Most importantly, Texas Skyz is not a loud band and you can actually carry on conversations while we play. We would love to play your club, private party, restaurant, wedding, or coffee shop.
